Concept Design TMNT Final
May 16, 2018
CAGD 117

This is the final product for the class of concept design. From my original, the changes are noticeable from the waist down. When reviewing the last rework, I received feedback stating the bottom half looks boring compared to the top, the two halves looked as if they could be two separate characters. Some ideas and sketches were noted and this was the final product with the peacock colors. One of the ideas was to make her part of the upper echelons of the mutant world. The idea was to be Jessica Rabbit-esque. The color palettes are the original style, dark/maleficent style, and Jessica Rabbit style. All the changes were done in a single session for ten hours.

Here's what I have so far. The guidelines we were given for our class were to create a being from the TMNT dark universe where mutant or mutated animals live. I made the choice of a peacock, and I was given the reminder to have her be in a post apocalyptic earth. I chose the wanderer motif with her feathers forming her cloak, then when she fights they'll act as a distraction.

More Styles

I went for more of a steady approach with the color swaps with the halloween scheme, and for the last I originally went for an Irish color scheme with greens and reds/oranges. The feedback I got was to change up the last one since it seems so plain. I changed it up as a gradient. I like to think of a name for this one as Bifrost.

Here's an update from my class on the Carnival themed Necromancer, So what I have completed is the silhouette for my design.

And here's the color flats on the progress so far.

My feedback on my current piece is well received, its just the boots, feet, skirt, and leotard are a bit bare and need some more flare / design.

From my class, the next assignment was to create a character based on the given criteria.
The class was to decide what to create by giving out suggestion to make up our final product.
The end result was a Carnival themed Necromancer.

This is the result of drafting from references, so far but will be better in the future.

Storyboarding for Animatic Project

For my project, I decided to do an animatic of the music video for BreakBots and their song Baby I'm Yours.
What has inspired me was the watercolor painting style on frame by frame showed me how incredible such work is.

The programs I used is Photoshop and Audacity for the cleaning of audio.

Here are the storyboards I broke down to get a better feel for the more drastic scenes.
